I just wanted to take a second to show off the absolutely great work we did at the Bridle Barn and Gardens this week! I had spent a few months figuring out what vendors would be perfect for this shoot set in the lovely rolling hills of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. If you haven't ever heard of this barn, you need to check it out! Click below to take a look at the space! I love the intimate nature of the space, and the embellishments like the romantic lights hanging from the tree, beautiful grand pergola for ceremony use, and the drapery options in the barn are second to none.
As always, we at Spirit & Style wanted to use our linens to create the landscape of the shoot. I picked a gorgeous new satin runner we have in stock. Its peach overtone and lavender and teal flower accents paired great with this vintage styled shoot. We laid this runner over our Shantung Charcoal grey tablecloths that are to die for! They have a shiny boost that just takes the tables over the top! Take a look at our fabrics under our event rentals area of our website (on the top menu!). I loved the idea of an organza peach chair sash on the white chairs to cement the look and ethereal beauty we were looking for. It was absolutely breathtaking in the giant barn. I paired simple arrangements made by Blooms Flower Shop in Verona WI. If you are in the need of a florist, look no further than Blooms! They are amazing! They can do so many beautiful things with flowers, I really can't recommend them highly enough.
Along with the head table shots, we also set up a gifts table and a welcome/cupcake table. I had an idea to use old shutters and then put clips on them for people to hang notes for the bride and groom as a novel take on a traditional guest book. Something that couples can put up in their house is always a great idea for wedding guest books! I put a cute note that said "love is tireless, love is true, we'd love some advice from beautiful you, we've unlocked a day and a lifetime of love, please give us your wisdom on the key to happiness above!" with a set of large keys to accent the "key" and "unlocking" bits. It was truly beautiful!
The ceremony space was set up with 2 barrels overturned to accentuate the entry way to the aisle. We had 2 beautiful bouquets filled with hydrangeas and peonies, at the entrance, along with 2 beautiful teapots and large tins beside it. Upscale mercury mason jars were placed on the chairs down the center aisle and filled with baby's breath, greenery and peach and white roses. The pergola was the main piece I wanted to really dress up. I added a green garland along the top and sides and stayed away from the traditional route of pulling the garland tight across the horizontal bar piece. I find it softened the pergola greatly. I added beautiful peach lace fabric on either sides draped from behind the pergola around the front, tied in place in the middle with floral wire and added 2 of the most amazing pergola arrangements I've ever seen by Blooms to each side midway down. I wanted hanging geometric himmeli style tea light candle holders in groups of three on either side of the pergola to add depth to the field of vision. Final touches of trunks on either side (Frontier Props and More) and an absolutely gorgeous Bird Cage (A La Crate Rentals) to end the scene.
I hope you guys are as absolutely blown away by these looks as I am! Photo Credit goes to Katie Ricard Photography (katiericard.com)
